When the executive producer of The Cut needed a creative partner to bring his vision to life, he turned to Copperwing. Picking up the reins, we took over production and crafted a deeply American story, told through the life of legendary horse trainer Buster Welch and the tradition of cutting horses. From producing coast-to-coast shoots to editing, color grading, visual effects and archiving terabytes of footage, our team brought structure, creativity and craft to every role we played in this cinematic feature-length documentary. While The Cut continues to seek full distribution, it has been screened at Sidewalk Film Festival and has captivated audiences from Texas to Switzerland. It is a beautiful, moving portrait of American culture.
